Nothing beats a special treat after a hard worked on dinner, so show your family and guests to a wonderful chocolate peanut butter banana bread this Easter!

One of our favourite desserts, this recipe delivers on the best qualities of what makes banana bread so light and enjoyable, especially after a big meal and long day. The added twist of this delicious dessert is the creamy peanut butter and chocolate chips to satisfy those with a sweet tooth.

For extra flair, feel free to decorate your banana bread with your favourite Easter themed candies!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup peanut butter
  • 4 bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup pumpkin seed
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease 5 x 9 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs; beat well. Stir in peanut butter, chocolate chips, flour, and baking soda until blended. Fold walnuts. Pour into prepared pan.
  3. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
